I have recently acquired 4 raised beds( size 3ftx3ft each) and would like to grow vegetables for the first time. Any advice on easy varieties would be appreciated. Depth of the beds is approx 12 inches.
Are these beds going to go on hard standing (patio, decking etc) or onto soil?
you could have 1 for salads, ie lettuce radish sp onion, sow line of each, repeat 3 rows along every 2 weeks. sew dwarf french beans and peas in another, can repeat rows if required. fill another 2 with rotted horse manure for courgettes and squashes.
