Can anyone tell me if this is hardy? I can only find US websites that indicate it is hardy - but I have my doubts, and anyway mine died! Please can someone confirm that they are not hardy in uk (Staffordshire) Thanks, Maggie
From the UK websites, I'm reading half hardy.
Yes, half hardy, so not so in the UK.

I bought some plugs a few weeks ago and put them in pots in the greenhouse and they are quite big now and ready to plant out they are such useful plants and flower all summer.
Trillium if you read this that was a nice picture of you in the Garden magazine
EH
I have bought Bacopa plugs for the past two years, and used them in pots in the garden. I was unsuccessful in overwintering them in my unheated greenhouse.
me too I have never been able to keep them alive during the winter anyway don't think I will buy them any more as I can't bare the smell
That is interesting, I have used them in baskets for the last several years, and had no idea they had a perfume, never mind one anyone could not bear. It is funny how often we are not really aware of what is perfumed (or just smelly as apparently in this case). It was only the last few years that I realised daffodils are as perfumed as they are!!

Many thanks everyone. I can remove the dead bits left from last year as they are not going to shoot out from the roots. I will buy replacements for this year.
I didn't notice a perfume last year although I often sat right beside the tub with it in. Maggie
Just to reinforce what's been said, they will survive a mild winter but not a frost of any duration. I had two in pots outdoors, one of which survived until the frosts in late January but died then. If they look dead, best give up and start with new plants.
They do grow fast, and last year I managed to divide one, which had started out as a very small plant but a few months later was big enough to split.
