I bought a Quince tree two years ago. Last year it produced tiny sofl downy leaves and very small flowers. I thought these were just the young immature leaves but this this year it still has produce tiny soft leaves and I am starting to think it is not a Quince tree as I have always thought Quince trees had large leaves and flowers.
I would be gratefull for any advice.

You will have to tell us what varuiety of quince it is. Are you sure it isn't an ornamental quince?

    Dear BaraGwenith (U14257539) ,

My Quince tree was bought two years ago as a four year old Meeches Prolific. The information which came with, it said it would have large green shiny leaves and large white flowers. It had white floweres last year but very small.

If you google, Ashridge Nurseries comes up and they have a good photo of your particular quince, with leaves. The leaves look like fairly normal apple leaves but the fruit looks lovely.

If their photo and your plant do not coincide take up with whoever supplied your plant. It may have been mislabelled. If there has been a mistake they should replace it with a mature quince. You don't really want your money back as you've wasted two years. Good luck!

    Dear BaraGwenith (U14257539),
Thank you for reply. My Qince tree bares no resemblance to the picture of Meeches Prolific.
I shall get in touch with the nursery that sold it to me. I am very disapointed.
However, many thanks for your advice.
