I like to order tulip bulbs early. Could anyone advise on the best way to store them before planting to prevent them going mouldy.
Many thanks
Where are you buying them from, I would assume that a reputable supplier would only send them when they are ready to plant ?
I don't quite understand why you need to order so early but in any case somewhere dry and cool to store before planting.
You won't be able to get them before about August - if you get them earlier than that, they are old stock.
Keep them in a dry and airy place, out of their bags/boxes so they stay completely dry.
Hello, thanks for all the advice. My query was particularly related to tulip bulbs as I prefer not to put them in until late in the year. It may be linked with how I have stored them and it has possibly been too hot.
