Just been into my GH and have found every newly sown tray of seed has been "investigated" or tops of new seedlings nipped off and I am guessing its the dreaded mouse again. I am planning putting traps down but if I put the trays on the wire shelves of a mini GH would this deter the mouse? Could it still climb up?

IME mice do climb up, but if the door to the little greenhouse was closed then that may help.
Normal greenhouses arent mice free, nor slugs & snails for me.

    Good luck, J.

Yes, they climb. Oh how they climb. Only thing I've found works is to get a LARGE sheet of small-holed chicken wire, put it on the shelf, put the trays on it, then fold the sides of the chicken wire up round themloosely. Awkward but you can usually still water through it. Get those traps down.

BTW, don't use those lightweight plastic (cheap) ones - the creatures get caught but not killed, they drag the trap around after them and you find them hanging from shelves / caught in corners, often not dead but dying.... much as I hate what they do to my plants its not good to see that much suffering! Use substantial, really strong-springed traps that will kill them outright and be too heavy for them to drag. I used Little Nippers, really good.
