Has anyone grown Oleander shrubs in thier garden if so are they hardy for southern England and will they grow in very dry sunny positions? I understand thay are toxic has thisi been a problem? Thank you.

I have been growing an oleander in a pot, given to me as a small cutting, for about ten years. Mine lives outside as soon as it warms up and overwinters in the greenhouse. I'm in Hampshire.
