I have a couple of blueberries planted in containers. They gave me a good deal of fruit last year ....
I need to feed them this year but am not sure what to use.
I heard Alan Titchmarsh say you could just put rusty nails in the earth but am not sure if this is just an 'old wives tale' !
Any help from you experts would be appreciated !
Thanks,
Chris
Like all these tales the rusty nail bit has some sort of truth in it-the same advice is given to keep hydrangeas blue but would not attach much credence to it.
In any case will not feed the blueberries.!!
I grow mine in containers and top dress ever year with ericaeous compost and water with rainwater as necessary-as for feeding use a an ericaeous plant feed
Thanks for that .. I thought it was funny advice !
Will go the Ericaceous route !
Thanks again,
Chris
