Can dregs left from home brew ale be of use in the garden? Perhaps on the compost heap?
Cant see no harm in doing that, think whats in it, yeast sugar water barley ? Chuck it on i say.
Use it in a slug trap, but leave the dish/cup about 1/2" proud (above) the soil surface to stop the benificial ground beetles from falling in. Cheers, Tony.
Although you might attract ants or rodents to your heap.
It's great for slug traps, as Tony says. My OH gets some from the pub whenever he can (which seems to be quite often )
Many thanks for the reply. This batch can on on the compost then, will make some more next month and try using in a slug trap.
