I have removed an agapanthus and a cordyline from my unheated greenhouse in order to make room for my seed sowing. I am wondering whether I have done the right thing with the weather turning cold again in this part of Cheshire and perhaps I should have hardened them off as you do with annuals! Any thoughts on this?
Assume they are in pots?
Are the pots lagged? Have you any fleece pieces/covers to pop over the plants tomorrow night?
Or have you a porch or conservatory to keep them in during the nights? J.
Or-pop them back in the greenhouse for the next few days or up against a sheltered wall-they are hardy but the shock may set them back-my agapanthus and cordyline grow in the garden with no problem at all, but I am in the far South.
Thanks so much for your replies. Yes, I forgot to say that they are in pots. I will pop them back in the greenhouse for the nights. It's forcact to snow tomorrow!
