I have for some time been bothered by the number of free ranging worms that come into my garden and use it as a toilet. They 'worm' their way through my garden borders eating through one end and passing it out the other with the result that my borders are becoming entirely consistent of worm droppings.
These worms should learn to behave properly and only toilet within their own wormeries. I have tried punishing them by cutting them in half with the result that you end up with two worms and twice the amount of poo!
Worse - my OH has bought a wormery and now they are all at it in there eating the food waste and turning it in to more poo.
It is time we put a stop to these ASBO worms.
Please sign my petition now.

I will sign yours if you sign mine against ant droppings.
Every day in the summer I have to go out with my magnifying glass and a teaspoon to pooperscoop after these pests have fouled my garden.
I really think it's time the Government took these issues seriously.
If responsible owners had their ants micro chipped we could at least be able to trace them.

Oh Wiggly, squiggly, squirming worm,
Most brilliant of creatures under terra-firm,
Builder of tunnels exquisitely round
Creator of dirt so deliciously ground
Engineer-builder without college degree
You eat up your work--
and do it for free.

You think you've got trouble - it's my air space I'm fuming about. Hundreds of birds every day think they've the right to fly in the air over my garden, squabble in my shrubs, perch in my trees and poop over everything. Haven't they ever heard of bird flu?
I've been told nothing can be done because they're all protected species - sheesh! Even my two cats won't touch them. They just sit outside on the window ledge and watch it happen. I mean, you should see the mess! Do you think it would help if I removed the peanut and seed feeders from my garden?

I would sign your petition except that you can not expect worms to abide by it. They would find some way of wriggling out of it!

You're right Beegee these worms are tricky customers. I bought in a load of birds to eat the worms, which they did but then they messed all over the garden too! How ungrateful is that?! Is there no end to this food chain? I have now poured glue all over the garden in the hope of trapping the birds and sealing up the worm holes so they can't get up to the surface to breathe.
Something needs to be done before the whole neighbourhood turns into one giant natural toilet!

Rhoda, did you think about taking some rescue hedgehogs? They'd soon see off your worms. Mind you, they have fleas which carry disease and poo on the top of the ground. Got a habit of getting squashed on roads too. Oh, it's a tough call.

The elephant is a happy bird,
He flits from twig to twig,
He lays his eggs in rhubarb trees
And whistles like a pig.
Just be gratful you aren't plagued with these in your garden!!!!

I've got evil seagulls the size of elephants! You can ask anybody round here - they'll tell you it's true. They sit on my roof and plan things.

Having read about all these nasties lurking outside in my garden, I've decided there's only one thing for it.
I'm going to have a man in to remove all that dirty unhygienic soil and replace it with shredded recycled cds. Anything that tries to walk / land on or squirm through that will be instantly eviscerated. But that still leaves the nasty diseased flying things... perhaps if I take out all the trees and shrubs and replace those with metal posts. They'll give me height and interest as they go rusty. Mind you, I'll have to electrify them, otherwise the blighters'll just land on them instead. And if I'm going to all that trouble, I might as well electrify the cd shreddings too, just in case something with hooves or just a high pain threshold comes along.
And the patio... there's this green stuff on it...I think its called lichen. Well I am not lichen it one BIT. It can't be good for you, being all green like that. It looks a bit like mould, so I'd best be shot of that too. After all, my kids play out there. And I never invited it in! So, maybe I'll have my garden chap get rid of the paving stones and replace them with polystyrene tiles. And the lawn with astroturf.
And then I suppose what I REALLY need is a large geodesic dome, where I can keep out other people's air as well as plants and animals, and I can make it totally opaque so no one can pollute me with their view, and soundproof in case anyone speaks nextdoor in anything more than muted tones, or about something I disagree with. And I can have my own laws in there, and everything!
Paradise.
Actually, this dome thing might not be a bad idea. All the pet-killers could be put inside, where we could totally 100% guarantee there are absolutely NO CATS. And no doors. And no food...And no water.... You see where I'm going...

I just wish I had known this problem was going to get so out of hand - is it global warming do you think. I could have bred from my previous cat (hehe) & so produced hundreds of worm collecting cats because as some of you may remember he used to go out into the garden, particularly after rain, & bring lots of worms indoors for us That would have helped the problem, lots more cats & less worms

There is a large bumble bee in my garden. It should not be there. It is the wrong time of year. I should like to give formal notice that, if its owner has not removed it from my property by lunchtime, I am going to shoot it.

Bees - you think bees are a problem. let me tell you about the butterflies and moths. Not only do they invade my airspace but they have the nerve to breed! On my plants! How dare they.
And I'll sign that petition about the birds Rhonda. I also have birds that sit on my roof and plan things like how to get their s**t all over my washing. I don't care that they are beautiful and that they are particularly good at dealing with the worms. Its the sitting peacefull lanning things that I can't stand.

What about those things that come with their own protection of hard shells. There is only one way to stop those - a size 4 boot. Surely stamping on them must be a health and safety issue.
They have the nasty habit of disappearing during the day and do their worst at night when we can't be looking out for them. Rhoda should your petition not include these as well?

And what about all the noise pollution??
What with the bees and wasps buzzing, birds waking you up at dawn with all that cacophony. I'm sure this so called singing is only their way of distracting you from the fact that they are laying waste to your garden with all their poo! Whatever happened to peace and quiet? - I SAID, WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE PEACE AND QUIET??!!

Cassandra, I've just checked and one of my bees is missing. He answers to the name Eric and if you look carefully you can see my name and address on his leg tag ( the one on the upper right side). I hope that you have not carried out your evil threat. If he is in any way hurt or upset I will be reporting you to the RSPCB.

Oh I feel so much better!!!!!!
However, guess what happened to me yesterday?
No?
Well, I'll tell you.
went up the garden to cut some purple sprouting for our tea, and two plants had NOT grown straight.
well, as you can imagine I immediately hacked them down, as a lesson to the others, and prepared to bring them in and give them a good hard steaming.
Then, elderly mog who had trailed up after me put his front left paw on the soil!
So - I had to take him to the cat shelter, because I can't be doing with that sort of behaviour, and they said they were full!!!!
Lots of evil cats about apparently.
So I had to bring him home and if he doesn't pull himself together I will have to compost him.
I blame the parents.
I blame modern society.
I blame the Government.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned slugs? They creep about and leave nasty trails and they eat my precious treasures and they poo and they get stuck in the long fur of number 2 cat and then squirm around the kitchen floor or wherever I find them.
And there ought to be a law against hedgehogs deserting their post in my garden and getting squished in the road and then there's the annual mole that tunnels under the road to get to my garden and in summer I have that ruddy bull to tame all over again and in a week or two there'll be no sleeping in because the wild ducks will be at it with the rape and pillage that passes for breeding behaviour......

These creatures have no consideration at all! You'd think that evolution would've taught them that those that are welcome in the garden should stay there and nowhere else, and those not welcome should Bu**er off! I really don't know what the world is coming to!

And while we're at it - children! I caught six in one week. Shouldn't we be allowed to trap them and not return them unless their owners promise they'll never play outside again? And footballs? Do you know, even if they flatten your veg, it's not allowed to keep or burst them and they must be returned. What kind of law is that?

Don't forget the rules.
You know the ones that ummm I've forgotten and didn't care about anyway!
Don't forget the frogs, disgusting creatures seriously wanton behaviour at this time of the year making a terrible mess of my pond and eating my precious slugs. I can't keep the plants down without the slugs.

Life is tough. We shouldn't be put through it.
Being woken up by birds, dodging flippin bees all day at work, slapping on sun cream so that yellow thing that should be blasted out of the sky doesn't give me wrinkles and to top it all, having to eat stuff from the mud instead of Tesco!
That lttle man in the van doesn't dig my veg patch you know, oh no, I have to do that myself! And I don't get nominated for digger of the week like he gets driver of the week! I could go on, but no-one listens to me anyway.

Do you know what the worst thing is?! Bloody gardeners! They are out there digging, digging, digging - what's that all about? They mow lawns loudly, they are forever pruning and sawing things, snicker, snack, cut, cut... they listen to the Archers on Radio 4 in the garden so we all have to share it... they chat over the garden fence about nothing at all! and yet they still take all day to say it. They whistle tunelessly and then sit around slurping tea whilst admiring the mess they've made of their borders. For God's sake get a proper hobby will you!!!
Water butts.... don't even get me started!!!!
