Not sure if this is the right section for this.
I was given a mason bee house for Christmas and am looking for tips from the backyard bee keepers. My biggest fear is not putting it in the right location. I guess it has to be attached to a wall.
Googled up this if it is a help,
"Siting: Site in a visible warm place ideally orientated to face between southeast and south and to catch some sun, between 1-2 metres high, (max 3 metres). It is helpful to have soil nearby, and food sources such as flowers, orchards and fruit. Once the box is used occupation will increase in the following years."
Thank you hereisabee. I've just been looking for a spot around my apple tree and I can't settle on a spot.
