Hi, I am planning on creating a red and white theme border and am thinking of doing geraniums for red. Any suggestions for plants that have pom-pom type white flowers ? looking out for any dwarf or ground cover varieties so that they don't outgrow the geraniums. i think the French marigold is one option - any other suggestions pls?.
Would you not consider white geraniums?
It would seem that surely if you are having red pelargoniums, that white ones would do best among them? The only problem with them is that they can get dirty if it rains, which is why I grow pure white ones in the greenhouse, but as part of your border and thus presumably quite close together, they would be good.
There are pure white petunias but hard to get these days with out the veining. Also good are white verbenas, french marigolds are not white but a yellowish vanilla i.e. ice cream colour.
There are white pom-pom dahlias and white double daisies.
