Don't know how to contact "Those in Authority" (T.I.A.) so I'll bung my idea here.

If 'T.I.A.' were to dump the small messageboard list to the left of the page, (as I believe this is redundant as it is possible to select the pages by clicking on the titles above the pictures), the centre section of the page could be moved to the left and an extra column inserted to the right telling us who was the last contributor to a discussion.

So if you saw that you were the last to contribute, there would be no need to visit that page / discussion again until someone else had thrown in their thoughts.

    Wadya think ? ? ? Cheers, Tony.

If you click on "My DIscussions" link-you can easily see if a posting has been made since your last visit-no need to go to the page or discussion.

Doesn't that cover it for you?

What that does is take you to the discussions you have started. What I'd like is a method of seeing what other people had said after I'd had my sixpennorth on anothers discussion. If you see a different contributor you can see. Cheers, Tony.

It takes you to both -a discussion you have started or contributed to-shows your last contribution and any new posts.

If you want to see a discussion you haven't contributed to you can click on subscribe to this discussion without even making a contribution

I am not defending the present system or saying it is no way perfect-it is a bit clunky and so-on but any changes will cost -and the Â鶹Éç are guaranteed to say "sorry no funds available"

Funny, that's just what the council are telling me when I keep on complaining about the state of an unlit footpath. Moss covered tarmak breaking up and strewn with dog mess at various stages of decomposition.

Yet I see council workers clearing footpaths out in the countryside where they are used once in a blue moon. Rant over (for now). Cheers, Tony.
