Hi All,
I saw on TV recently some glorious, huge, overflowing, hanging baskets, and I'm looking for some inspiration for next years planting. My hanging baskets this year were ok-ish, but rather sparse and straggly, although I thought I'd packed plenty if Trailing Geraniums in. Has anyone got any plants in mind for fabulous baskets,so that I can achieve the ones I envy? Both flowering and for greenery please. Many thanks, Yvie
Hi Yvieh
You could try some trailing begonias as they have large flowers and are still in flower at the moment, there are of course the old favourites - surfinia and petunias, bacopa, lobelia (needs trimming to keep flowering constant), small leafed ivies, etc. Why not look around at neighbours, garden centres, etc., to see if there is anything that takes your fancy. Nan x
Hi Nan,
Thanks for those suggestions. There's plenty to choose from. I'll have make a note of all those and see what takes my fancy. I'll have a nose around locally, and have a look at the plant and seed catalogues over the winter. Yvie
