I am gladly working heavy clay in dry weather at a depth of 2m.

It is the easiest time I shall ever have of it. It is moist but not too damp at a depth of about 1m.

I took sassenach's advice on Ph (P stands for Power!) and i am ctually mixing clay, chalk, top soil and horse manure where possible to produce what I hope will be best for the garden in different places, beneath the fruit trees and in the vegetable patches.

Thank you sassenach for the Ph reminders! I am working on it.
