If anybody is interested popped into local Wilkinsons this morning-they had loads of garden essentials at 75% off-hose fittings, twine, netting, miracle grow compost etc.-worth a look if one is near you -not sure how long it is on for- as long as stocks last I suppose.
Geoff
Thanks for the tip off. Popped to Wilko this afternoon and got loads of stuff for 8 quid.

I got four steel containers for £1.06 each. A little bashed in being the last left, but that adds to their character if you don't do formal gardening.
Thanks, will pop there this afternoon if possible, assuming they have anything left by now after everyone else went early after your excellent post!

Too late here - all they have left are bulbs. The Christmas crackers will probably arrive this week.

2000 3" pots £30
Just fed up peeling the labels off as they were packs or 10
Loads of nice blue stop hose connectors at 40p each
I love their end of year sale - stocked up on weed killer as well
Probably missed the bargins by now but will go in tomorrow.
Are there cheap bird feeders anywhere, mine need replacing for the winter.
Booths have grass weed and feed on sale along with tom feed.
I called in yesterday and bought 6 boxes of liquid grow more with 75% off but the best bargain to date was provado ultimate bug killer which was marked at £4.20 with a sticker saying 50% off marked price when I came to pay for it it came up at £1.20.

I was in my local store on Saturday and got 2 GH fleece covers ( the last ones) marked at £3.48 with a 50% sticker on, when I got to the check out they were 80p each, what a shame they were the last.

I need a new plastic cover for my mini GH, 4 shelves high, any suggestions where to get one...
If you have a branch of Home Bargains nearby they always have cheap bird feeders/food. Failing that, Morrisons, Tesco etc are a lot cheaper than garden centres/Pets at Home.

I'll try ebay but for some reason I've never got used to using that site, I don't know why, I don't often go on facebook either for the same reason, a bit to global for me.
I tried a recylce site once to give stuff away, and despite people raving about these sites, struggled to give a shed away, loads of people wanted it but wanted it dismantling and delivered! A big shed too, 6 by 8, would have cost anyone over £200 to buy, nothing wrong with it either I was just down sizing and wanted to put a GH were the shed was.
