  Welcome to the forum and to France. You may have noticed that there are one or two of us expatriates based here in France who contribute to these message boards and it's always interesting to exchange ideas.
  
  I haven't yet had a close look at your blog but it's tucked away for when I have a bit more time.
  
  A quick observation is that more often than not I am disappointed by the gardens in France often finding them shabby and uncared for, (I'm thinking of chateaux gardens, e g Chambord and even Versailles!). While I'm a million miles from being an expert, it may be that it really is much harder here in France due to the heat and lack of rain, there are I feel far fewer interesting gardens to visit that in the UK, perhaps you have spotted this as a major opportunity........? Certinly the vegetable gardens appear to receive the lions share of TLC than ornamental gardens.
  
  There are exceptions, and I haven't yet visited Giverny for example; near us there is a garden whose theme is edible fruits (Jardin de Pomone in Charente Maritime) which was started from scratch 7 yearsago by 2 enthusiasts, one of them professional, and they have achieved remarkable results with very littel help, definitely worth a visit. Roudabouts and municipal gardens have often very attractive designs.
