    Hi All,
Well today is one of those days im pleased ive got air/ con in my car, it's been a boiler here today,

Ive been to collect a new door i ordered 3 weeks ago, it's for the old stable and as ive not got any horses ive plans to make this space into a work shop for motor bikes and the like, the old door had seen better days and it was a solid door "no light could get in" so the new doors half glass and this will help with the light,

Now here in france we have a few places that are charity run and these have lots of old items in them,
One is called the TROC, these are all over france and you can get some good cheap stuff in them, everything from furniture to push bikes, music, and gardening tools etc,

The second place is called "EMMAUS" again its a bit like the salvation army idea but french,
now these places again are all over france and again you'll find some really strange stuff in them, today we called into the "Emmaus" as it was on our way back from collecting the door,
I found 45 old wooden glazed doors (all sizes) sitting outside the main warehouse, and i asked how much (20euro the lot) i was told if i take them today.
These doors make smashing cold frames or winter tops for raised beds, a real bargain in anyones book,
If i didnt have so much on at the moment i would have ripped his arm off
"but one for the diary for a latter date"

    Hi punpun,

Yes sweltering here today as well, tomorrow 39° forecast.

I had a tennis match to play this morning and during the event it just got hotter and hotter and my opponent just wouldn't lie down. In the end I won (after 3 hours), but I've been feeling like a shot rook ever since.

Love the idea of a glazed door, it hadn't occurred to me; ideal for my new wood workshop where we've just had a new boiler fitted, goodbye oil!!!, hello wood granules!!!.

The garden is looking very tired after the heat so it's on with the irrigation but I'm hoping to try my first Black Crimea tomato tonight, my mouth waters at the thought! It's an unusual colour (but not black) so I hope it's ripe.......

    Stay cool L

Sounds like you've had a good day out, 3 hours (couldnt you have shot him?°

Your right ref the weather, i was just saying on the other thread i been in the pool and it really is a wake up (unheated) and by the time you get out it takes you back to your infant days (things no longer look the same "got it longer ,cold water)

Those toms youve said, are they the Russian ones? if so i had them last year and they really are nice more of a sweet taste than usual but still very nice,

I think everyman should have a good workshop, ive got one and it was finished this year, great for hiding from (those who like to be heard)

    REGARDS Punpun.
