    Hi ALL,
Well it's the end of another day, "a good day really" plenty to be done in the garden and yet some more new things to note & learn,

Ive a few cherry trees in the garden and three of them i bought and put in last year, i was pleased to see fruit coming along on all three but i did notice that for some reason the fruit was'nt near the lower section of these tree's and today the reason became clear as to why no fruit lower down,

It was "Henry" my best friend He's been standing on two legs instead of four and helping himself to the fruit, So as i say you learn something everyday,

Ive spent time this evening picking the fruit off the trees and ive a basket full and so ive been sitting on the patio sorting them out for jam making tomorrow,

    TIP.
When picking the cherry of the tree, the correct way is to take the stork off the tree with the fruit still connected and not leave the stork on the tree.

Ive said a few times that value for money you can't do better than fruit tree's,
Once they've settled down and start to produce fruit you'll get the initial cost of buying the tree back time and time again, and quickly.

I bought three different sorts of cherry, from red to black coloured ,
So the freezer should be kept filled with pies and the storage shelf with jam and ive left plenty for the birds, So everyone should be happy.

The pears / apples are trouble free and coming along fine and the verious plum trees are showing signs of a good crop,

The peach tree's wont have any fruit worth worrying about as they've only been in 3 years and are still sorting their root system out so all fruit will be removed in a few weeks time and composted,
Next year the peach crop should be big enough to eat.

So if your not thinking of moving home and have the space for fruit trees/bushes? it's one of the best money spent things a gardener can do.
    Good night all.
