    Hi All,
Hope your all well and enjoying life,
It's a cooler day here today and a good sort of weather day for out door things,

Ive offten talked about the area i live in and some of the things ive noticed while walking/driving through the hamlets etc, But sometimes you can not see your nose for your face "so to speak"

What im talking about is the things on your doorstep you tend to miss while out walking,

We have an old french farm house complete with barn's just a few hundred yards from the turn off to our lane, Now this place has just been left to rot and fall apart "bit by bit",
Ive offten looked at it as i walk the best friend down towards the old river "but it was only of late i noticed hanging off the outside wall near the kitchen window "

An old tin bath, it's stayed on that wall for god knows how many years and inspite of the tiles being blown off the roof during storms & the barn roof crashing down last year this old tin bath has stayed in it's place on that wall,

I wonder what tales that old farm could tell if it could talk, who lived there and what was life like in those days,? Did the S.S call there when they we're in this area during the war ?

All around the farm are hedges and growing in these hedges are honeysuckle, as you walk along all of a sudden you get that whiff of honeysuckle and what a smell it is,
I dont think ive ever come across anyone who didnt like that smell.

The rest of this old farm's fields and hedges are full of apple/pear & cherry trees and all still producing fruit every year for the wild life , ive seen deer pulling down fruit as they settle down for the summer evening's.

It's such a pity old places such as that farm are just left to rot away,

My other half say's if it was left up to me i'd save all these old properties,

(A bit like trying to save france really.)

As the title say's" I sometimes wonder"

    Regards Punpun.
