This plant is in flower in my parents garden, although often grown for it's autumn foliage, the bracts that surround the flowers are white wonders.
I had in mind that the nurseryman was called Eddie White, however on reference he was called Henry Matheson Eddie from British Columbia, Canada. The soil is acidic but full of stones so the plant is unable to make it's full height.
hi i have a cornus tree in my garden which was planted 4 years ago and it has never flowered since. it seems to be growing and always has fresh foliage on it.
how do i get it to flowe????r. it is planted in a large bed in sandy soil and gets the sun till about 6 oclock
The plant pictured is over 15 years old, so you must be patient and in time your tree will flower.
Here it is grown in a better environment, Valley Gardens, Windsor.
Also another spectacular tree with bracts, Davidia involucrata
