We are in Doncaster...just to give you an idea of temperature! Can we pruneour Hypericum Indorum Elite yet? If so how do we do it?
Also our Phormium Purpurea and Phormium Pink Panther look totally dead after the recent harsh winter. Is it worth clearing their leaves or digging out and replanting?
Thankyou
Hi,
If your Hypericum is putting on new growth then you could consider pruning now....but I'd probably wait a couple of weeks yet. Pruning is simple and they could simply be cut back by half. Phormiums have been hit pretty hard this year with many not surviving at all. I'm telling my customers to tidy if needed but not to remove until end of May...just incase they struggle back into life.
