What do you do?

  Hi all,
  Well it's the end of the working week for a lot of folk and the week end will flyby faster than any other day of the week "thats sods law is'nt it"
  
  But talking about "Sods law" Im one of a few members on this thread who keep on about feeding the wild life, ie the birds, hedge hogs etc etc ;
  
  Well while enjoying a nice sandwich and a coffee at 12 noon today i looked out of the kitchen window and did but didnt like what i was seeing,
  
  Sitting on our entrance metal gates eyeing up the bird feeder "Full of birds" was this really beautiful sparrow hawk,
  
  This bird is one of natures creatures, and has a right to hunt for it's food,
  
  But i feed the birds every day all winter and i want these birds in my garden!
  
  What do i do? stop feeding the birds, scare the hawk away?
  
  Im sure it's a problem many of you have gone through,?
  
  As it happens i was earlier this morning sorting out the citreon C.V. car ie giving the engine a half hours run as we keep this car in the barn all winter and so once a week i start the engine up, and i thought i'd clear anything that shouldnt be in the boot "out" it was then i came across one of those cannister operated claxton horns and it was sitting on the kitchen counter and so i grabbed it pointed it out of the kitchen open stable door and gave a good long blast.
  
  My neighbour "at the time had just returned from saying her last goodbye to an old friend who died on monday!!!!!!!
  
  I think she thinks this is how us english say our last goodbye??
  
  Oh the" Hawk"
  Well it just left it's calling card all over the gate and i think it went to Mc donalds in the village.
  
  How did you get rid of your unwelcomed visitor?????
