I must admit I love old fashioned shrub roses, beautiful roses with plenty of scent...
Variegata de bologna, varietgated flowers, Comte de Chambord, quite a neat plant that looks wonderful, and Konigin von Danemark, absolutely stunning, being high on the list, but to restrict it to 3 roses is quite difficult!
The modern shrub roses by David Austin are fantastic too, far too many favourites to pick a top 3 Very healthy plants
I love Peace also, my father used to grow it, beautiful rose!

Almost impossible to choose only three from the thousands of varieties, but here goes.
Favourite Climber - 'Compassion', healthy, vigorous, wonderful scent. After growing one in our last house, after we moved I bought a second one.
Favourite HT - 'Peace', we inherited an old 'Peace' when we moved here yet it keep flowering reliably and pretty healthily each year. I think I think it because of the history of the variety too.
Favourite Shrub rose - Rosa foetida 'Bicolor' (Austrian Copper). Whilst riding across the US by motorbike in 2006, I reached the Rockies and the alpine town of Ouvray. There in a tiny garden was the most spectacular rose with orange petals with yellow undersides. I took a hip and once I returned to the UK, stratified the seed and got a number of seedlings. Only one survived and at long last is planted in my rose garden. I hope she flowers for the first time this year.
Bit this is a bit of a fat question as there are thousands to choose from. I also like 'Geoff Hamilton', partly because of the stunning flowers but also the sentiment; 'Fragrant Cloud' intense scent and vivd colour if a little troublesome; 'Velvet Fragrance' deep maroon with a heady scent and a gift; 'Polly Sunshine' a tiny yellow patio rose I imported from the US but only survived a couple of years, 'Constance Spry' one of David Austen's first varieties and another stunner.

Mine should have read "a bit of a daft question".
Anyway, how can one ignore 'Rosarie de l'Hay'? A fabulous rose with an intense scent.

I did not post on this one as I love Roses full stop.
I will mention three.
A yellow China which was still flowering up to the snow coming down in November.
An Iceberg scrambler which gives me a white cloud of flowers at head height twice a year.
A Paul's Scarlet climber which although I have cut it right back more than once still comes cheerfully back each year, I decided it deserves to live now.
Peace is a firm favourite but the blowsy old roses still fight for my heart with the hedge row dog roses which fill our lanes around here..
Frank.

I too love roses, it is interesting , as I once read in a gardening magazine , that roses came top of the most loved plants , but at the same time came bottom of the least loved plant , I think most people like the rose but some find them hard to look after,, this post through it seems a hard choice for people to make, seem to be working and peace seems to be a cropping up a lot ,
I know its like asking your favourite fuchsia there’s thousands , but the idea was like a peoples rose of the year ,like the one the commercial rose growers have , it was not to say I like these 3 ,and not the mainly thousands of the other rose ,it was to see , its was to find the best doers,

The world's favourite rose, according to David Austin's website is Graham Thomas. It was awarded that status at the 2009 World Rose Convention in Vancouver. I bought one of these mainly out of curiosity. It's yellow which you might think is odd for the world's favourite (why not a red one?). It's strong (doesn't flop) and the blooms do have a nice luminous quality:
My favourite rose is Emma Hamilton. David Austin describes this rose as "unusual colouring... useful for creating a little excitement in the border". It's strongly scented, but what I like about this rose is the colour...
Emma Hamilton actually goes through a range of apricotty shades as the blooms mature.

The Emma Hamilton rose looks really beautiful. Especially with the purple stems, and scent as well!
I love roses but don't have a garden for them

What an absolute stunner, the EH rose.!
I find it very uplifting to look at pictures of flowers over the winter months.
I look forward to what I can do in next year's garden....

This is Abraham Derby. It's popular, early and very showy. But, for me, the stems don't seem to be strong enough to support the blooms:
L D Braithwaite is a very popular red. It has strong stems, but it's not very good for scent:
Iceberg is a classic white:
This is Crown Princess Margareta, rather classy looking, and forms quite a large plant:
