  Hi all,
  well again it's been like a summers day here (france) and ive been "again" bulb planting and trimming a few inch off the small privet hadge i planted this time last year,
  I only want it to grow to about 18inch as its at the top of the border and this border has a slight slope and the hedge is to give a back drop for bulbs and small summer bedding plants,
  
  It's that time of the year to be sorting hedges and the troughs out and the composting of the used flower pots ect,
  
  Having spent the day in shorts and vest it's hard to think that in the next few weeks we could have a complete change in the weather and nobody likes to get caught out and find the jobs they could have done they didnt.
  
  So tomorrow is a big clean up day in what i call plot 3, It's a bedding area and about 40 feet long and 8 feet wide,
  My intention is to clear all the annual plants that are just about finished & do a little prune here and there of the shrubs and plant bulbs, mainly tulips / daffs and lily and give the edging a nice crisp cut just to tidy it up, this border will take me about 2 days to sort out and except fo the top dressing of compost in December im not expecting to do a lot until the early spring.
  
  The lawn mowers on a high setting and the grass has slowed down so cutting is getting done a lot less now,
  The lawn's in for a lawn treatment of moss killer and a feed (last feed this year) And the next big job on the lawn will be the collecting of leaves during late oct / early november.
  
  So having said all this any new gardeners will see how the gardening work changes at this time of the year "But" other task can be done as we go on through the next stages of the gardening calender.
