Does anyone have any advice/experience in water gardening "above ground"?
I am tempted to install a water garden but I have thin (8 - 12") oil over solid limestone.
Earlier this year GW presented an idea of using large bore 3 - 4 ft drainage pipes as the base for a water feature. The pipe was lined with butyl sheeting and then clad with something perhaps stone(?)
Has anyone adopted this idea or tried something similar. It seemed to me that I could produce something attractive and with a small grand child relatively safe.
Any ideas/experiences would be greatly appreciated!
This is an above-ground pool in the garden of cazzzz, which she/he posted in the July photos thread a few weeks ago:
I thought it was a very impressive feature.
Cazzzz only seems to come on the message board very rarely. I don't know if they will see your question.

Thanks Gary,
It is indeed an impressive and imaginative feature. Not quite what I had in mind though. I'll keep hoping for more replies.
