I should think it would depend on the size, I got a 6x4 and hubby and my 15yr old lad managed it though it was heavy at times - the big sheets of glass etc.

Hi androse,I put my 8x8 poly together myself. I did get two people to lift and hold the roof in position. That only took a few minutes.

    Hi,
Ive a 12x8 glass green house and like you its just the two of us,
Now ref people saying putting the roof section on was heavy ??? IF you errect the green house in sections ie piece by piece you'll find your lifting one bit at a time and the green house is built without any full high up sections being lifted.

We did ours via the manufactures instructions and this was to build both sides first and leave them laying on the ground, next was the two ends,

it's now that the one side and one end are put together, "INTO THE BASE SECTION" and next the same again with the two remaining sections, the roof main stay is put into situ ie from one end of the end parts of the greenhouse to the other end ie doorway appex section to rear appex section) and then each roof bars are fitted (one at a time) when the complete frame is up it's then the glass is fitted starting with the sides, then ends and then the roof glass and last of all the door, and then the roof window's and frame are a slide on and into the roof window space.

I have two green houses here but have put up 4 in all and ive never lifted any full roof sections.

I'd select a calm dry day to do this work,
it will take approx 10 hours working in a steady calm way,
Note before starting all the sections should have numbers or letters engraved into the metal work these are to marry up each section.

Check you have all parts, including screw/bolts/nuts and GLASS fixing clips, to hand.

Read all instructions a few times and before you start " put in for a devorce or get a friend to help you.
