every year it grows well until about july, then something scoffs all the leaves and leaves it naked, does anyone know what it is and what i should do about it?
I seem to remember somthing about a fly which attacks current bushes, could this be it?
Its sawfly! Handpick or spray. I had these little devils this year and they also attacked the red currants. OH handpicked them for me (I am a squeamish gardener!) Still loads of fruit.
thanks Grajean, there are no creatures to be seen, the bush is a complete skeleton, what should I spray it with? sorry , but I'm not very up on sprays
