Hi,
I have few plants in the garden which I am unable to identify? Can someone suggest what they are? Below are the links to the photos - have put the title for the photos as what I suspect them to be. Being a small backyard, I want to weed out whatever is not useful. Thanks.
Hi arati
I agree with your tentative identifications - the "cabbages" are clearly running to seed and depending on what kind they are probably wouldn't be much use to you. If these are plants that have survived from last year, the carrots will probably soon be running to seed as well
The unknown plant is more difficult - it MIGHT be lemon balm, I suppose, although the leaf on the far side of the plant doesn't look right for lemon balm. Does it have a distinctive smell when you crush it in your fingers?
Don't know what the other plants are but picture number 3 is definently not lemon balm.
thanks, yeah i decided to weed out the 'maybe lemon balm' one cause it just has a very faint smell and not lemonis. Sot aht goes out. Any idea how long i need to let the carrot and cauliflower be there for the seeds?
arati I would dispose of your plants, buy seedlings from a GC. Much easier for a novice.
yeah saves the space too..! i as thinking if its just waiting one more month i'll stick to it else dispose cause the carrot especially is takinga lot of space.
