Hi - wondering if anyone has any good ideas for a revamp of my front garden.
Well, actually although it's the front garden, my entrance door is at the side, so I can't use a path as a focus - would look a bit daft having a path leading to a window?
The garden is square - 6ft approx. It's exposed and has very poor sandy soil. At the moment I have a diamond shaped central bed, straight bed under the window and a side straight bed to the left hand side. I really want a revamp but am lost for ideas!!!
dur to the soil conditions a selection of coastal plants with a subtle very subtle maritime/ coastal theme - large ( 6 inch) rocks to provide some cover . griselina , sea holly , senecio spartium junceum , coastal lovers.
If it is sunny then the bearded iris - Iris germanica will enjoy such soils, however they only flower for a short period.
