I am fed up hearing bad news on the TV, I'm fed with the election build up and I am fed up with hearing what people think about GW/Joe/Alys. So here's some good news.
My son's partner is expecting so I bought some Narcissus 'New Baby' bulbs and potted them up in terracotta bowls some months ago. Sat in the porch they looked as if they might be blind so this morning I moved them outside into the sunshine. I came back this afternoon to find them with tiny, yellow, scented flowers. Now the good bit. Joanne's waters broke at 4am this morning. Isn't that nice? Now everyone say AH!.
Ahhhhh, any sign of the new arrival yet?
Ah, nope. Contractions not close enough yet. Wife gone to bed with two mobile phones, the house phone and a raging pulse!
Don't want to worry you Paul, but my waters broke 3 days before I finally had our youngest! That was a LOONG wait!
But I wish you and DIL all the best, let us know how things go
Won't worry me. Our three all arrived eventually (thirty years ago). The couple are currently walking around the hospital grounds to help things along.
Ouch i can't imagine being in labour that long..i shelled mine like peas, although didn't feel quite like that! Made me about your wife and the phones....maybe today will be the day.
Googled the plants Paul. They are 'cute'. Hope not too long to wait now. J.
Freddie was born just gone midnight yesterday morning and weighed 8lb4oz. The Grandparents are doing well as are the 'New Baby' daffodils
