Happy birthday Juliet! Life starts at ...
We had a lovely party thanks to you!
Now, what could possibly be in that package??
Maybe something starting with G and ending with oat??
Take care and enjoy this very special birthday!
Thank you LL, PA, Susie, & Annelisje! I sincerely hope none of those presents are a goat, though; it might eat my garden!
I've had a lovely day, thanks - posted about it on Goldilocks's Easter thread though, so I won't repeat myself!
Happy Birthday Juliet - I think I must have missed the boat - or the punt - cos your birthday must have been Sunday and it is now Monday!!
I thought you had a joint birthday party with LS a few days ago was that your Official Birthday? Or are there two Juliet's on this board?

Nooooooo! What clem? What have I missed??? (I'll get around to confessing about my "Easter Egg" soon!)
Jenny you seem to have explained why the goat had stiletto shoes on at one point!
Stiletto heels - Oh No - I forgot about those - were they on my front legs, or back? my cover is now fully blown - may have to leave the board and come back as another person
Was there anything else strange you noticed? As I had hoped to wear it again

Thanks, Jenny & Plocket. Lord Steve's birthday was the 3rd & mine the 16th, Jenny, so we just picked a date for the party in between the two. Thought your costume was very convincing - I didn't realise it wasn't a real goat!
Don't talk to me about Easter eggs Plocket - ate a creme egg yesterday & spent all night in the bathroom with v&d - not a good end to my birthday - & another new one to add to the sensitivities list . Today I have eaten 2 pieces of toast & an oatcake, and I wasn't up to digging up crocuses as planned, even though the weather would have been lovely for it .

Well the jewels were a tad OTT for a goat and I'm sure it had a VPL but didn't dare inspect too closely!
Oh dear all these abbreviations only just worked out why OH means being a single person
So VPL is:-
Very Pronounced Limp
Virtual Person's Laugh
Cant think of anything else this can be

Well between crying laughing and trying to type I can advise:
OH = Other Half, or in my OH's case it stands for "occasionally helpful"
and VPL is nothing to do with the itnernet at all: Visible Panty Line!!!!!!!
THIS: is my Easter Egg!!!! Brunette - chosen by me but given to me by my M&D!
That's much nicer than my egg was, Plocket! How did you manage to fit it into the garden?
I had to dig a few other things up first Juliet, and then replace them after planting Brunette!!! Where there's a will, there's a way!!!
Sorry to hear about your egg btw - are you feeling ok now?
Oh dear never thought of THAT - I need to get a Diploma in UAOTMB - see if yu can work that one out - very easy

OH Plocket!
That is such a beautiful Clem!!!!
I saw one like this in the GC the other week, but it didn't look happy and there was only 1 left, so I didn't buy it!
I've been checking my clems after work and feeding them. I hope that they will all live and flower this year!
Thanks for all the advice you are constantly giving Plocket! It is GREAT. You gave us all plocketitis and it is because of your enthousiasm!
Now, ... regarding my snails.... I've been collecting A LOT of them and have thrown them in the dead neighbourgs wild garden (dnwg for jennyW.). Now Obelixx tells me they will find their way back!!! HELP. That'll be more patroling for me.
Take care

At least you replaced them - I thought for a minute you were gradually going to get rid of everything else in your garden, until it contained nothing but clematis!
Yes thanks, feeling a bit better today, though still being rather careful what I eat. Managed to dig up my crocuses this morning though & replant them in the new planter
Hi Anneliesje! Yep Obelixx is of course right - snails have a wonderful built in sort of homing device and can spot sumptious plants at 100 metres! Squishing them is the best course of action I'm afraid.
Thank you so much for your lovely words btw - and I have faith that your clems will be wonderful! I think you were wise to leave a sickly looking clematis - a lot of plants can be rejuvinated with a bit of TLC but clems really can be prone to disease if their stems are bent or damaged.
Px
Hi Juliet! I adore most of the plants in my garden so there are very few that will be removed (I chose them all after all - my garden was created from scratch!). I couldn't possibly have entirely clematis in my garden because there are so many wonderful plants out there, and each season brings something special. At the moment I'm enjoying the hellebores and primulas in particular. I'm sure most gardeners are the same - slightly fickle from season to season!!!
Glad you are feeling a better if cautious. Hope the crocus (I don't do latin so don't know the plural) are happy - I'm sure they will be. I'm off on a tulip hunt for OH tomorrow - will report if and when!!! Px
