    Hi All,

Are you also busy in the Garden??
Here it has rained all night and early morning (while I was jogging smiley - steam), but now it is dry and the weather is soft.

I've made my trip to the GC and came back with a trunk full of plants ( I bought a new car last summer, with lots of space for plants smiley - biggrin).

I bought me a 2nd little plum tree "prune de prince", a clematis Viticella, a clematis William Kenneth (to grow through the X-mass tree smiley - devil), helleborus niger, helleborus foetidus, primula denticulata alba, Euphorbia fireglow, Euphorbia purperea, Dodecatheon meadia and some Echinops ritro.
So I'm now busy planting and replanting and it is so GREAT outside. I have now some daffodils flowering!
Next weekend I won't have time to garden, but this day makes up for it.
Take care you all! Have a nice gardening day smiley - hug

    Hi Anneliesje,

We've had tons of rain over the last 2 nights, so even though my ground is usually very free draining its a bit squelchy at the moment, but I have been out there this morning (only light drizzle).smiley - sadface
I have nearly finshed digging over the front bed that I have altered, can't finish laying the turf yet as its too wet. Just need to get M'spouse to put up some posts to attatch some wire to, this will help divide the garden, then have to find some plants to fit in the new area.
I need white & Blue ones for one side, and purple ones for the other.smiley - biggrinTrip to GC?

Has anybody had experience of moving pittosporum bushes about 3' high...I had read not to ever move them, but it would look really nice in the bit I've just dug.smiley - erm

smiley - biggrinI've had such luck with some help in the garden, 1 of the children was desperate to earn some money, so I showed him the turf that needed composting and the good stuff that needed moving to where I had removed the other, thinking he'd say 'no way', but was obviously very desperate because he said 'yes' and over the last 2 1/2 hours has done nearly all of it...he has a bit more to do tomorrow, but as he was half dead let him go out. (Did remind him that Grandad who is 78 HAS to spend all day in the garden, so he should be able to manage.)

Has started pouring down now so have got changed and come inside to annoy the children...smiley - steam

HI Supermum. Beeb promised me 4 days of rain from Friday on. So far we've had enough to wet a flea's whistle! However the place looks a bit fresher for it and we've been out emptying and turning the compost heaps and have spread about 3 cubic metres on the garden. The Nelgians reckon it will pour down tomorrow.

Hee hee. We're out dancing till the small hours this morning and the clocks go forward so I shall be having a well-earned lie in before building some obelisks in the potting shed. OH has to be up very early to manage the day's golf competition. Self-inflicted!!

Think yourself lucky, I'm currently sulking.

Have a titchy yard full of pots so spent last week constructing what will hopefully be the first of several big planters. Plan being that I could transplant what I already had to give it more room and in the process squeeze a bit more in.

Unfortunately, it turns out I already have too many plants!

Oh well, at least the plants I already have will be happier.

And yes, it's raining in the grim north as well -
smiley - sadface from me, smiley - smiley from the plants
