Chat: ... & then it started snowing!

  I spent about 5 hours in the garden yesterday, It was bitterly cold but I had lotsa layers on .. and a woolly hat. I wasn't really 'gardening' but clearing debris from under pines and piling it into council bags, ready for their collection. Don't want that stuff on my compost. I collected wood, sorted out and moved two log piles (then peeled a layer off!) I have loads of planting to do, digging and prepping beds but wanted this job out of the way before I started on the more enjoyable stuff. I came indoors for a hot choc and a snack ... and then it started snowing, quite heavily. Grrr, maddening. Felt good and invigorated(!) but not what I consider 'gardening'. OH was v. pleased and thought I had achieved masses, ooh well that's ok then . I still have the digging and planting to look forward to. Not a rant but just thought I'd share that with you all.   And you got out! That's nice too!
  Just have to think, as you wrote it in a way, when the beautiful weather comes, the nice jobs can be done.
  I hope I will be able to garden a bit tomorrow. I still have to find a solution to camouflage the compost heap (I will beg OH to get his tools out) and I have to think of something to cover all these old walls around my garden. The walls are not mine, so I need something to put in front of them. I will have a look at Obelixx's gallery again and go through all your pictures to get some ideas.

  You have achieved so much despite the cold Marcia. Well done! And just think, that area is better prepared for when the fine weather starts.
