Hi Floks.I am new to this site and fairly new to gardening,And i need help with my garden. I am hoping to lay a foot path with old red and yellow bricks and need to know the best way to ley them down, i would perfer not to use cement as i might need to lift at some stage.
Many Thanks.
Hi, your proposed path will only be as good as the foundation you provide.
First of all dig-out the site to about a spades depth. Place rubble in the bottom, then builder’s concrete sand on top of that, consolidate before leveling the sand and laying the bricks.
Good luck.
PS. Spaces between the bricks can be filled with 'kiln dried sand' for the final finish.
Thank you for your Avice.thats sounds good.
