Not the best of pics but the first snowdrop in my garden has produced a tiny flower...
Oh I love snowdrops! Mine are just starting to come. Yours look lovely William.
I have had a few out now over the last few weeks, not bad as I just planted them last year.
I was told not to expect any for another year, but I have 6-10 up and 100 planted so its quite poor show so far.
Weather over here is not too bad with only 5 days of frost so far.
Mine are just at the poking up stage. I'm seriously tempted to splash out & get some of the named varities even tho' they are a bit more pricy. We were at Wisley last weekend & there were loads already out. I have some winter aconites looking very cheerful tho'.
Found some fat white buds on mine this morning - not long now!
I bought some from Hodsock last year and they are starting to flower now. I am chuffed they survived!
Thanks for sharing, William! Spring is on the way!

Yeah and I've got a heavy cold
I like these spring bulbs firts the inter garden is a bit dead and I wonder where these bulbs were last year and weather they have susvived at all an then first tiny green points poking though the soil....
Very nice indeed.
Quite a lot of promising stuff.
Hyacinth, Narcissus, Muscari, Crocus, Galanthus, Tulips, Iris and some that came in a package didn't do much last year and now are going strong (no idea what they are, though)
I moved a lot of snowdrops last year when we used some of the garden as a patio area. I thought it was a little late for them to be disturbed but the brave little things have pushed through the soil this week and don't appear to be any worse for thier move!
My biggest clumps of snowdrops live under some red stemmed cornus but there isn't even a squeak of stem pushing through. Maybe they copped it in last year's drought.
I have 7 or 8 small new clumps which I planted in the new front bed and all of them are up and flowering or in bud so let's hope they go forth and multiply.
Great isn't it! My Sam Arnotts are in bloom to. Also got my first garden daff in flower today - January Gold so it's a bit late!!!!
Sunny as a spring day here but I think my garden is still a bit confused, 2 clumps of snowdrops opened, 1 daff almost opened, 1 crocus almost opened, Virginia Stock still flowering from last summer !
Spent a lovely morning in the garden planted my Skimmia and Helebore that I bought 2 weeks ago, had a check on everything and lot's of buds popping up on lot's of things...Lovely!!

A promise of things to come.
Hello William.
on the 15th of January last year my cat died suddenly of a heart attack. She was white all over with only a spot of black behind the ears. We buried her in the garden underneath the magnolia tree where she loved to sleep. I planted some snowdrops afterwards in her memory. Last week I went to look and would you believe it all of them have come up and now it looks lovely especially in the moonlight. There is really nothing like snowdrops to remind us that winter is nearly going and hope of spring and summer to come. But for me they are especially special.
Hope am not boring you with all this.
