We would like to grow more veges and our garden needs some TLC! Last year we successfully grew pots in buckets and Toms in hanging baskets! But this year we would like to try more. We have a small lean to greenhouse and lots of window cills! I have an area of the garden in mind but i think the soil needs improving first but I'm unsure what to use, when to do it etc. We have recently started composting but obviously this wont be ready for awhile yet. Is there a website anyone could reccommend regarding plant info (when to sow, suitability to site etc).
Any help gratefully recieved. (PS we live in Cornwall so enjoy an early Spring!)
I have not checked but i think on Â鶹Éç gardening home page Alan Tichmarsh covers veggies to grow. Is there perhaps a gardening club you could join lots of good basic info available from the men who grow in you area. Good luck
Just been back to home page and found so much info on growing veggies, fruit, etc almost persuaded me to grow more varieties
Thanks! Been to library and have also found the pages you suggested. Must go lots of reading and planning to do!
Raised beds makes improving soil for small scale veg growing much easier
