Ok so you've probably all got your Christmas Shopping sorted, but I was wondering if anyone can recommend a really good website for buying gardening stuff - a site that isn't overpriced, has reasonable delivery times and charges, and has out of the ordinary gifts. Many thanks!

Well, it depends what you want (a bit difficult to judge what someone else will think is out of the ordinary!), but I have quite a few sites bookmarked, so here are a selection I've shopped from & thought were good. I mostly tend to give/receive books & videos from Amazon for Christmas though so don't know about anyone else's Christmas delivery times. Postage costs vary - & often depend on how much you're spending - so you'd need to check. Most of them do catalogues (if like me you find it easier to browse on paper than online).

    General garden centre-type things:

The National Trust also do some garden-related products but I always find their postage costs a bit much - if you have a property with a Christmas shop near you though it might be worth looking there.

Thanks Sara but I'm afraid I don't do H.A.Rods or EBay!

Hi Juliet! It's more general gardening stuff - I need inspiration! I like the Queenswood site so I'll have fun perusing that - many thanks!

Hi Plocket. Have you tried greenfingers.com Also play .com for books dvds etc don't charge postage.
I had a lovely book recently for my b/day The well tended perenial garden. It is a lovely book, when, how & what to cut down allsorts of info, when to cut back so the plant doesn't need staking.
After reading about The victorian kitchen garden on this site last year we got it after christmas & we both thoroughly enjoyed. OH is not a gardener but he has requested we watch it again soon.

Hi Janet! LP is positively extatic about the prospect of Christmas, and the snow last week didn't help matters: snow = christmas! She's got lots of targets though before Christmas, play school nativity, a couple of parties, stuff like that.

I had a look at greenfingers btw - very nice but I think they might be a bit pricy. Lots of lovely ideas and certainly a nice site to look through so thanks very much for that. I like the sound of the VicKit too so I might have to put that on my own list!!!
