I'm having a go at growing Jerusalem artichokes for the first time this year. Planted half a dozen tubers 17th March, but haven't seen any signs of life from any of them yet. Starting to wonder whether I planted them too deeply. Can any of you experienced Jerusalem artichoke growers tell me how long it usually takes for shoots to appear?
They will be through once this cold snap has passed. Cheers, Tony.
Just a word of warning!
They are thugs and given a chance they will take over the plot so keep them contained within a designated area.
Thanks for the tips!
