Hi just wondering what seeds you are growing this year.
Im after growing some unusal veg this year any ideas im in teesside.
many thanks.
Hi, Shaun, Welcome to the message boards.
Depends what you term as unusual, I was going to add a bit more colour to the veg plot this year so am going to try peas/beans with different coloured pods, yellow, purple and cream/red along with the usual green podded one's.
I have some orange beetroot seeds and yellow courgettes. Red and yellow stemmed chad. Black radish and was going to try mooli again although last year mooli was a tad bit disaterous.
I sowed some alpine strawberry seeds last year which have come through the winter well so on that basis was thinking of trying pineberries and there is also a yellow strawberry variety which looks interesting.
As usual I've far to many seeds and not enough garden to plant them in
I'm going to try and grow kohlrabi. From what I've heard it's delicious but have yet to try it myself. Other than that the only rash decision was to try and grow Naga Jolokia's - the hugely hot chillis that make Scotch Bonnets look tame. No idea what I'll do with them!
Other than that, it's the usual beans, broccoli, celeriac, chillis, tomatoes, aubergines....
I've got plenty of time this year so fingers crossed for good crops!
CelSue
