I'm looking for some advice. I planted some artichokes last year that I'd grown from seed and they are doing quite well. However, I want to move them and I'm not sure if it's possible or if it is, when is the best time to do it? Also, I saw Monty Don on Gardeners' World and he mentioned globe artichoke "slips". Any ideas what these are? Cheers.
I would assume he meant the offshoots that grow around the stem of the main plant. I think you slide a sharp knife downwards and cut it off with some roots and plant on.
