Is it worth trying? I have some specimens that are in pots that easily could go indoors. I think GQT some years ago recommended taking the tops of tomatoes and over wintering them for an early start.

Is it worth trying-well in a way why not-but you are bringing a plant into a warm house and relatively low light levels to achieve what ?-an early start-having read what you have said about your plants this year is it worth it?
I can forsee lanky spindly plants that are not going to be very productive-In my opinion I would start again next year with tried and tested varieties.
