  I think Monty is great, I only have a small garden but can take on board lots of advice from him and I enjoy his garden.I love all the different areas his garden has and he's very easy to understand. Top marks Monty..

  Ìý Good for you ParsnipPumkin and that is what it is all about, you watch and learn.
  There seems to be a lot of snobbery among gardeners and Monty for some reason comes in for a lot of criticism from them.
  He is a presenter writer and like most of us a this is what pleases me gardener not a "This is the must have fashion gardener" even at my age after years of gardening you are learning something new all the time.
  You are obviously learning and becoming keen on gardening so Monty has done what he is there for long may it be so.

  What I can see the main problem people have with Monty is they think he is not a very knowledgable gardener....
  
  Personaly I can't comment on that because I know he knows a lot more than me.
