Please Â鶹Éç can you make a programme purely for the many keen gardeners who are disabled and/or older and can no longer garden in the conventional manner.

I am more than happy to offer my garden (which is quite small) as a project to convert into a wheelchair friendly garden and I would also help with the work as I am able bodied!!! My husband has MS and can no longer tend and enjoy the garden he has loved for many years. It breaks my heart to see him watch me do all the things he used to love doing.

It's about time that the Â鶹Éç thought outside the box when making gardening programmes...not everyone has huge gardens, loads of money and the ability to have beautiful gardens. BUT, this is all we seem to see on garden programmes... It's about time we saw ordinary people, with lots of challenges in their lives have a little help!!!!

    Jackie

This sounds like worthwhile idea why not contact one of the broadcasting companies or your local Â鶹Éç and see what response you get-you never know- after all there are loads of DIY programmes where they come to the rescue.

I would also be tempted to speak to various charitable bodies as they would be able to put more pressure on the Â鶹Éç.

An acquaintance of mine said that many programs are designed with a presenter in mind so it may be worth contacting presenters or production companies suggesting your perfect presenter.

Have you thought of contacting Garden ER?

I would love one of those programmes - or indeed a series.
I've known a few people who through age or disability have become very depressed at the state of the garden which was once their reason for going outside, and a great joy to manage..
Not a reality thing - people won't want to be identified as vulnerable I suppose.
But we are an aging population, we need to prepare!
