In order to be on the Radio Database in Proteus, your company must:

TO BECOME A REGISTERED SUPPLIER YOU MUST:
- Be a registered corporate entity (e.g. a Limited Company)
- Be enlisted on the (Please note there is a registration fee)
- Have experience in delivering programmes to Network Radio, or have access to people who have that experience, or if you are a podcast production company, have two podcast feeds which have been active in the past 12 months
- Agree to the Â鶹Éç Terms of Trade and
- Be able to meet the technical requirements
- Have a Diversity and Inclusion policy in place. If you do not currently have a policy, a template is available from the .
- Comply with all current anti-discrimination legislation, and the related Codes of Practice.
What to do
Independent producers who would like to pitch an idea to a Network must first register:

The ‘Main Office Email Address’ is the email the Â鶹Éç will use to send information about commissioning rounds and other information about Â鶹Éç Radio. Please therefore ensure this email address is kept up to date to ensure you don’t miss these communications.
It is vital that you inform us if your business circumstances have altered or your contact details have changed. In each case, email to: radiocommissioningenquiries@bbc.co.uk
What happens next
Your production company will be assigned a generic company login for Proteus, the Â鶹Éç Radio business system, via your registered email address. You will hear about commissioning rounds and will be able to submit proposals using Proteus.
Your company will be removed from the database if:
- Any of the above requirements no longer apply
- It has won no commissions in any three year period on any Â鶹Éç UK or national radio network
- There has been a serious failure of compliance, or repeated lesser failures
- It has delivered programmes that need further work
- It has delivered programmes with incomplete paperwork
- Removal will be subject to an appeal procedure and there will be an option for re-registration where the company can demonstrate that reason(s) for removal have been addressed to the satisfaction of the Â鶹Éç.
