On TV at 1500GMT: The future of the Arab Spring

Ros Atkins Ros Atkins | 12:17 UK time, Friday, 22 April 2011

Hi there. We're a quarter of the way through another four-show Friday. Here's the rundown for the next three...

1500GMT ON Â鶹Éç TV: THE FUTURE OF THE ARAB SPRING
In no particular order we'll consider:

- if NATO is experiencing 'mission creep' and if that's a problem if it does occur

- if more should be done to help civilians in Misrata, and if so what

- if the thousands of Syrians in Deraa currently calling for Pres Assad to go, need to accept that he's publicly committed to reform and allow him the chance to deliver on those commitments.

- whether the protestors in Bahrain have lost momentum because of an alleged recent crackdown

ON AIR AT 17&18GMT ON Â鶹Éç RADIO: TBC...
...we'll decide this in the next hour or so (suggestions still welcome....). Keep an eye on the blog, but it's difficult to see us going too far beyond Syria. Libya and Bahrain.

WHYS EXTRA AT 1830GMT ON Â鶹Éç TV
If you haven't seen it before, this show is short and sharp (it comes in at 8 minutes) and features some of your calls that we can't fit into the main TV edition.

And that is probably enough editions of WHYS for one day. Certainly enough for me (much as I enjoy talking with you all). Many more and I start reciting the text number involuntarily.

Enjoy the long weekend if you're in a part of the world where there are holidays. I'll be on Â鶹Éç World News TV from 0500GMT on Saturday if you'd like to keep me company.

Cheers, Ros
