As part of a special week of programming celebrating Liverpool's year as European Capital of Culture, Â鶹Éç Radio Wales is to simulcast two programme with Â鶹Éç Radio Merseyside.

Roy Noble will be broadcasting his show from Liverpool on Wednesday and between 15.05 and 15.30 he will be joining forces with Â鶹Éç Radio Merseyside's Billy Butler for a simulcast between the two stations.

On Thursday, the Phone in Programme with Oliver Hides will be doing a two hour simulcast with Radio Merseyside's between 12.00 and 14.00 - their presenter Roger Phillips and Oliver Hides will be discussing 'Is Liverpool the Capital of North Wales?'

Meanwhile, earlier this week Â鶹Éç Wales reporter explored whether devolution had diminished Liverpool's unofficial status as the capital of North Wales. It was broadcast on Eye on Wales. [Listen again]
