Our Russell [Crowe] is coming 'home'

Yep, that's right - the Hollywood actor hails from Wrexham. Well, his grandfather came from Wrexham before emigrating in the early 1900s to New Zealand.

Now, as Â鶹Éç Wales announces it is planning to do a family history programme and bring Russell Crowe to the town of his ancestors, local newspapers the and have been looking more closely at his connections.

Unfortunately, the Evening Leader doesn't provide the same coverage online as it does in print and last night's edition carried the original newspaper report of 1925 detailing the Crowe family being given a send off by fellow members of Chester Street Bapist Church before emigrating to Canada.
