What do you think about the changing face of Wrexham as the town welcomes more people from different countries to live and work here? It has taken a long time to happen but now, it seems, the town is seeing an influx of people moving here for a fresh start.

There has been some disquiet from some 'locals' but, to clear up any misgivings or misunderstandings, Wrexham Council is doing much to create what it calls 'One Wrexham'.

To that end, special events are being laid on at Queen's Square including a multi cultural fun day on Saturday followed by a Diversity Day on Thursday.

Tomorrow is the official signing of the One Wrexham Charter at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, Wrexham. It's a simple certificate that can be signed by public bodies outlining their commitment to a united Wrexham.

In turn, a council press briefing states, community groups can sign up via the public bodies to make a "positive statement against the unfair treatment of anyone whilst acknowledging their own role in making Wrexham a welcoming and safe place for everyone".

Film students at Wrexham's NEWI, which is popular with overseas students, recently made a short film for this website seeking students' views about migrant workers moving to the area.

What do you think about the changing face of Wrexham?
