'Keep your hands off our hospital'

That was wording on one of the placards being waved by one of the elderly women in a crowd of 200 people yesterday. They were protesting about plans which could lead to the closure of Flint's community hospital with the loss of 19 beds.
The review is being undertaken by and locals held a public protest to show their opposition outside Flint Parish Church. Among them was local MP .
Health groups in other parts of the region are also considering shutting smaller hospitals with St Asaph, Abergele and Prestatyn facing a similar fate.
